la Comunidad adds Himebrook & Poumian-Ruiz.

Antoinette Zel, President of La Comunidad announced the appointment of Darren Himebrook as Director of Interactive Production and Carla Poumian-Ruiz as Senior Account Director for the agency. Both will be based in the Miami office, reporting directly to Zel.

Darren will manage and produce all digital work for La Comunidad on accounts such as Crown and Best Buy. Prior to joining La Comunidad, Darren was an integrated producer and director for brands such as Sony, LG, Coke, Microsoft, Ford, Remy Martin, JCPenny, NBC/Bravo and GMD Studios. Darren also served as Director of Integrated Content at Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, working for clients including Priceline.com and Walgreens’ Take Care Clinic. Darren previously served as Senior Interactive Producer at Wieden + Kennedy and as Integrated Interactive Producer at Crispin Porter & Bogusky.

Carla joins La Comunidad as Senior Account Director, where she will be responsible for brands including Remy Martin, Crown and Best Buy. Most recently, Carla served as Group Account Director for Conill Advertising where she oversaw the U.S. Hispanic campaigns for CVS Caremark, Johnson & Johnson (including McNeil Consumer Products and J&J Merck) and MetLife as well as Latin American business for Avaya and Sony Ericsson. Carla previously spent four years as an Account Director at The Vidal Partnership in New York.
