La Comunidad opens Media Services Division

Antoinette Zel, President of La Comunidad announced the expansion of the agency’s strategic planning capabilities to include Media Services and Connections Planning.  La Comunidad has appointed David Lawlor to head the new division under Executive Director of Global Strategy, Richard Monturo.
 
“As Dave knows, to be truly effective today, brands need to break through the traditional paradigms and acknowledge consumer touch points that hinge on culture, not just language. We are pleased to have someone of his caliber kicking off this expansion for us, as he well understands the media lives of multicultural consumers today,” said Zel.

In his new role as Director of Media Services and Connections Planning, Lawlor will be leading the media planning and buying services across all platforms for the agency’s recent new business win of Cadbury’s Trident and Stride brands. 

Lawlor joins La Comunidad from Crispin Porter + Bogusky where during his five year tenure he helped develop and implement media strategies for both the general and multicultural markets for Burger King, Volkswagen, Geek Squad and Jawbone.  Lawlor was most recently at Zimmerman Media, managing the accounts of Party City and Ashley Furniture, among others.
