La ‘Quinceañera’ @ Telemundo.

The 15th birthday dance that will change the life of a lucky young girl arrives to Telemundo screens with “Quinceañera.” Hosted by the charming and adored Alan Tacher, this youth talent competition premieres on Saturday, August 26 at 7PM (ET/PT).

“Quinceañera” is a show that not only turns into reality the dream of a young girl to celebrate her 15th birthday with an unforgettable party, but it also grooms her to become an artist. In this magical adventure, 10 contestants battle in song and dance competitions under the watchful eyes of experts, as they begin their artistic career, turn their dream of having a 15th birthday party into reality, and make their debut in the world of entertainment.

But these young women are not alone in their fight to make their dream a reality; they already have the unconditional support of their mothers, who not only take part in some of the auditions, but also serve as great moral support for their daughters. The mothers will approve the wardrobe, the makeup, the songs and choreography, basically acting as managers of their quinceañeras (15 year-olds). They will also decide the future of their daughters in the competition, since it will be up to them to decide whether their daughter should continue in the competition or not, because of a final challenge they must encounter.

The show will also have a panel of four judges whose job will be to critique the candidate’s vocal, physical and artistic talent and who will qualify the contestants at the end of each show. The panel includes: Héctor Martínez, ex-executive of the record label EMI and music producer; Irma “Mimi” Hernández, ex-member of the music group “Flans;” Ana María Polo, host of the Telemundo show “Caso Cerrado,” and television journalist, Mario Lafontaine.

The competition will take place on a magical stage, inspired by those of ancient Rome where the audience will root with their applause throughout the show for their favorite quinceañera.
