La Teacher de Inglés to premiere on WAPA America.

On Monday, July 2, viewers will get to enjoy the popular Colombian telenovela, “La Teacher de Inglés” (The English Teacher)-which combines family drama, language barriers and a complicated love story-on WAPA America, the U.S. cable network arm of the leading broadcaster in Puerto Rico, WAPA Television. WAPA America is available across the country on all major cable, satellite and telco providers.

The telenovela-comedy introduces viewers to Kike, owner of a feminine undergarment tailoring business in Colombia who is interested in expanding into the American market. However, there’s one major problem: he doesn’t speak English. He looks to his cousin Luis Fernando, who lives in the U.S., for help. Luis is involved in the illegal drug market and sees Kike’s business venture as a solution to his problems.
Kike decides to take English classes, where he meets Pili, La Teacher de Ingles. Pili is a charming and focused woman who has taken care of her family since losing her parents in a tragic accident. Luis Fernando will not only fight for Kike’s business, but for Pili’s love.

The telenovela is made up of a strong Colombian cast lead by Carolina Gomez and Victor Mallarino, alongside Juan Baptista and Isabel Cristina Estrada.
