Larry Sands – VP GM @ Univision Puerto Rico.

Univision Communications Inc. announced that former KUVS-TV General Manager, Larry Sands, has been named Vice President and General Manager of Univision, Puerto Rico, effective immediately. In this new capacity, Sands will serve as General Manager of WLII-TV Channel 11 and WSUR-TV Channel 9, owned and operated by Raycom and managed by Univision through a time brokerage agreement. Sands will be based in Puerto Rico and will also report to Wortsman and Arnost.

Before becoming General Manager, Univision Puerto Rico, Sands served as General Manager of KUVS. Prior to that, he served as General Sales Manager in Sacramento. He also served as National Sales Manager for the Univision owned and operated station in Phoenix. Sands earlier broadcasting career has included positions in Washington, DC (FOX network owned and operated station WTTG), San Diego (Sales manager, KUSI), and Los Angeles (National Spot Sales Manager, SELTEL). Larry is a graduate of James Madison University.
