The Latin Americans Online in the USA.

The D’Alessio IROLAmericas study contains the results of research conducted by Internet with 529 Latin-Americans who live in the USA, and whose countries of origin are Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina, who registered themselves with the help of Media Consulting, representation company which manages the US Hispanic inventory of these news sites, between January and March 2006 in the following news organizations:

El Universal de Mexico
Endi de Puerto Rico
La Nación de Costa Rica
Portfolio de Colombia
Nacional de Venezuela
El País de Uruguay

In addition, a sample of Argentineans living in the USA has been added to the survey, from of the D’Alessio IROLAmericas panel.

The participants in this survey live in various U.S. states—by order of mention:

Texas
Georgia
Illinois
Arizona
Virginia
Connecticut
North Carolina
New Mexico
Nevada
Other States

In complementary fashion, we have compared their dreams and expectations with 500 Latin-Americans in their countries of origin, registered in the D’Alessio IROLAmericas panel.

Statistics tables have been included to support the main findings of this work. The commentaries in italics are textual transcriptions of those conducted by the participants.
