Latino Ex-Gang Member Turned Role Model Receives ‘Just for Men – Rejuvenated Spirit’ Award.

Just For Men aircolor presents Danny “Boxer” Gullart, with the first annual Just For Men “Rejuvenated Spirit” award and a $5,000 check at the Hollenbeck Youth Center- Inner City Games 23rd Annual “Salute to the Dodgers” luncheon.
The Just For Men “Rejuvenated Spirit” award is given to an individual who has overcome obstacles, made a new beginning and is now positively influencing his/her community.
“Just for Men Haircolor is proud of Danny Gullart’s courageous life changing decision,” said Michael Wendroff, Vice President, Marketing. “For the past ten years he has committed his life to his community and we commend him for it.”
Gullart grew up in the public housing projects with his mom and 12 brothers and sisters. After more than 25 years of gangs, drugs and alcohol, he decided to clean up and begin a new life where he could help prevent youth from getting involved in gangs as well as those that are looking for a way out.
“I feel honored that Just For Men is acknowledging my achievements,” said Danny Gullart. “I’m not going to say it was easy to change my life around. Everyday it’s a battle, but I’m here to say that I’m winning it.”
More than 1,000 supporters and celebrities including 200 inner-city children will be on-hand for the festive day, which will highlight the achievements of the Hollenbeck Youth Center – Inner City Games. The Los Angeles Dodgers will be saluted for 23 years of support and commitment to creating sports, academic tutoring and gang intervention programs.
