LATV Goes To Washington.
October 8, 2005
Having Just Won an Impact Award from the National Hispanic Media Coalition For “Excellence in Bilingual Television Broadcasting”, LATV will debut an “LATV Goes To Washington” special on Nov. 8th from 9pm-11pm as part of its agenda to bring relevant social and political content to its viewers. The special will also air on Nov. 7th (10pm-11pm) and Nov. 11th (9pm-10pm). Joining the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s week of Hispanic Heritage Month events, LATV spent several days in DC interviewing members of Congress, Congressional aides, and Latinos working on Capital Hill. LATV will bring the thoughts of leaders like Senate leader Harry Reid and Congresswoman Grace Napolitano (D-CA; Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus) to its young audience. The special will reveal how members of Congress are representing their Latino constituents, as well as ask young Hispanics working on Capital Hill how they would shape U.S. policy if they were in charge of national affairs.
