LATV Receives Second Nomination For Imagen Award.

Bilingual television station, LATV, received a second Imagen award nomination for “Best Variety Program” for its “LATV Live” program. Last year the show won the Imagen award in the same category. “LATV Live”, a daily television show, presents performances and interviews with Latin music’s most important artists. It also gives its viewers phenomenal access to celebrities by having them interact with a live studio audience and serves as an entertaining guide to what is current in Latino entertainment and lifestyle. This year’s nomination places the show in competition against Bravo’s “Queer Eye For The Straight Guy”.

The Imagen Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 1985 to encourage and recognize the positive portrayal of Latinos in all media, and to increase Latino representation at all levels of the entertainment industry announced the nominees, which also include “the George Lopez Show” and “Scrubs for primetime comedies; “NYPD Blue” and “Strong Medicine” for primetime dramas. Some of the nominees in the acting category include Jacqueline Obradors (”NYPD Blue”), Hector Elizondo (“Century City’) and others.

Winners will be revealed at Imagen’s awards gala on August 26 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.
