Leo Burnett Named ‘Best Communications Network in Latin America’.

Leo Burnett Worldwide was awarded the Grand Prix for “Best Communications Network of Iberoamerica” at the Eye of Iberoamerica Awards hosted by Latin Spots Magazine in Buenos Aires. The honor is the result of an outstanding accumulation of awards by Leo Burnett at the festival, including four awards for Best Agency in Colombia, Perú, Spain and Venezuela; Best Advertiser in México (Sealy), Peru (El Comercio), Colombia (ETB 007 Mundo) and Venezuela (Coca Cola); and Best Creative Director in Colombia (Juan Carlos Ortíz) and Perú (Juan Carlos Gómez de la Torre).

“This accomplishment is very rewarding for all involved,” said Michael Conrad, Chief Creative Officer, Leo Burnett Worldwide. “Our performance here recognizes the outstanding, standard-setting work of each country and underscores the collective creative strength of Burnett’s Latin American region.”

Among the other winners: Best TV in Colombia (“Cachetada”, DirecTV) and México (“Niño”, Sealy Mattress); Best Print in Colombia (“Pisa Tower”, Viagra/Pfizer); and Best Radio in Peru (“Chilena”, AT&T). Furthermore, Burnett had numerous finalists in categories such as Agency of the Year (LB/ México City, LB/Santiago) and Creative Director of the Year (Rafa Antón of VLB Madrid, Leandro Alvarez of LB/Lisbon and Germán White of LB/Caracas), among others. Award points earned by both winning and finalist agencies contributed to the overall point total that secured Leo Burnett’s Grand Prix victory as “Communication Network of the Year.”
