Lexus honors the Immigrant Archive Project.
March 1, 2010
Lexus celebrated the creative and entrepreneurial spirit of South Florida’s vibrant Hispanic community with the Lexus Listening Lounge event honoring Miami’s own Immigrant Archive Project. By recognizing the IAP, Lexus sets out to highlight the significance of preserving the stories of those who, after coming to this country in pursuit of a better life, have contributed to this country in so many important ways.
These are the stories of business leaders, musicians, chefs, designers, and other community members that all share a powerful bond. The Immigrant Archive Project captures these stories by recording, in their own words, the struggles, dreams and accomplishments of America’s vast and influential Hispanic immigrant population so that future generations may learn from their collective experiences and their wisdom.
Tony Hernandez, co-founder and Executive Producer of the Immigrant Archive Project and President/CEO of Latino Broadcasting Company, was presented “El Premio En Busca de la Perfección” (The Pursuit of Perfection Award) by James Thompson, Vehicle Merchandising Manager, Southern Area Lexus.
