MásMúsica TeVe Network announced the addition of an award-winning community service program, “Línea Dírecta” to its weekend line-up.
The Spanish-language television series “Línea Directa” will air on MásMúsica TeVe beginning on Sunday, October 24 at10:30am; with a re-run on Saturday, October 30 at the same time. Línea Directa, one of the nation’s longest running Spanish-language television series dedicated to public education, has been on the air in the Washington, D.C. market for nearly fifteen years. The half-hour program focuses on helping Latino families improve their lives in the United States by providing information on their rights, as well as on important health , education, legal, and social service issues.
In recognition of the program’s pioneering work in public education, “Línea Directa” Host Arturo Salcedo and series Producer Eduardo López were chosen as recipients of the prestigious 2002 Leadership for a Changing World Award from the Ford Foundation. The honor is one of the nation’s most important prizes for social change and community leadership.
