Llamas joins Univision Communications as EVP & Chief Human Resources Officer.

Univision Communications Inc. announced that Roberto Llamas is joining the company as executive vice president and chief human resources officer. He will be based in New York City and report to president and CEO Joe Uva.

Llamas joins Univision from Nielsen where he served as chief human resources officer for the $5 billion consumer research and information company with 35,000 employees in 100 countries. At Nielsen he helped build a high performance culture, implementing robust leadership and talent development systems and putting in place aggressive strategies to invest and succeed in developing markets. Prior to Nielsen Llamas served as chief administrative officer for The Cleveland Clinic, a $5 billion, top rated health care institution with 45,000 employees. There he implemented productivity initiatives that led to operating gains and improved patient and employee satisfaction. Llamas also introduced six sigma and wellness programs and significantly upgraded compensation, diversity, and leadership development programs while improving overall HR performance. He has owned and managed his own consulting firm as well as held key HR positions at Lehman Brothers, TRW and General Electric, where he was a Corporate Officer. He began his career at Southern California Edison.
