López Negrete Makes The GRADE.

López Negrete Communications earns high marks on its very first agency report card from the advertising industry’s national 20th Annual Adweek Agency Report Cards. The national program evaluates each participating agency on a fixed category set and assigns a letter grade of A+ through F for each category, as well as on an overall, to recognize whose numbers bucked or buckled, whose work improved and whose leadership shined over the past year.

This is the first time Houston-based López Negrete earned a spot in the Report Cards issue, and debuted with an overall score of B+, higher than any other agency in its local Southwest region and placing it among the top 14 percent of the 93 national and regional agencies that were graded. López Negrete’s scorecard also earned them a spot among the top 10 agencies in the Southwest for the highest growth in billings. The independently owned agency received high marks in all of the categories that were evaluated including growth in revenues and staff, demonstrated quality and range of creative work and how well management issues were handled over the course of the last year. All categories were equally weighted.

“Our team thrives on serving our clients with the most impactful advertising possible. We can only do this by remaining true to our creative nature and by consistently providing effective, imaginative campaigns that produce measurable results,” said Alex López Negrete, President, CEO and Chief Creative Director of López Negrete Communications. “It is an honor to be ranked among such a prestigious roster of national and regional agencies-we will have to keep our grades up in the future.”

Although the representation of Hispanic segment agencies has increased over the past few years, López Negrete was among the few invited to submit information to be considered for the report cards. First Adweek considers the year-to-year revenue growth of the agency and then figures in a revenue-to-staff ratio to give a sense of the agency’s profitability. The agencies, including López Negrete, were judged against its peers in the Southwest region and then against all 60 regional shops.
