‘Los Premios Casandra 2007’ & ‘Miss Republica Dominicana Universo 2007’ on NDTV.

NDTV will have the honor of broadcasting for all the United States the Twenty Third Edition of “Los Premios Casandra 2007” and “Miss República Dominicana Universo 2007”, which are, without a doubt, the two most important events for the Dominican Community.

Premios Casandra 2007:

Julio Iglesias will be recognized during the celebration of this event, the renowned Spaniard artist confirmed his presence at the Casandra Awards 2007, ceremony that will take place on March 27th at the Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito.

The singer will be awarded a “Casandra Internacional”, given by the Asociación de Cronistas de Arte (Acroarte) to the most outstanding artists with a high impact on the country’s artistic life.

As well, several international communicators will act as presenters for the Golden Carpet of the “Premios Casandra 2007”; important celebrities such as Tony Dandrade, Celine Toribio y Frederick Martinez (El Pacha), distinguished radio and television personalities at the United States, will lead this magnificent event. Isaura Taveraz, resident of New York, and Francisco Sanchiz will also act as presenters of the event. The Golden Carpet, where all the famous artists and well-known personalities assisting to the ceremony will walk through, will be broadcasted at 8 p.m. ET through NDTV, with duration of 1 hour.

Miss República Dominicana Universo 2007:

The final gala of the Miss República Dominicana Universo 2007 contest, that will take place next Thursday, March 22nd at 9 p.m. ET, will be a splendid spectacle held at the Hotel Jaragua’s La Fiesta theatre, where the 20 candidates will compete in most prestigious beauty pageant of the country to become the Dominican queen of beauty. The winner will represent Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2007 contest that will be celebrated next May at Mexico.

Magali Febles, general director and of franchise of the contest, promises a magnificent competition, since the pageant celebrates half a century of having crowned the first Dominican beauty for the Miss Universe contest. Because of this, several surprises are being prepared, among which the presence of the current Miss Universe, the Puerto Rican Zuleika Rivera, stands out.
