Lovinger named Executive VP of Advertising Sales & Integrated Marketing at Telemundo

Telemundo Communications Group Inc. announced that Dan Lovinger has been named Executive Vice President of Advertising Sales & Integrated Marketing for Telemundo Communications Group. Lovinger will report to Jacqueline Hernández, Chief Operating Officer, Telemundo Communications Group.

In this post, Lovinger will be responsible for overseeing advertising sales and marketing for the Telemundo Communications Group networks, Telemundo and mun2, as well as their digital properties. Lovinger will also oversee and lead the growth of all multi-platform branded entertainment initiatives and integrated client solutions.

“Dan brings an extremely strong cross-platform sales experience to the Telemundo Communications Group having worked with multiple brands that have exemplified 360-degree brand approaches,” said Hernández. “As we approach what we expect to be our biggest upfront ever, having someone like Dan who brings strong relationships in the marketplace and an understanding of how to leverage original content across multiple platforms, allows us to be well positioned for the shift we expect to see this year in demographics and in marketers’ interests.”

Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, MTV 360 Brand Sales & Integrated Marketing. There he served as the senior-most advertising sales executive responsible for ad revenue across MTV, MTV Tr3s, MTV2, MTVu, and MTV.com.

Prior to that, Lovinger served as the Vice President of Vh1 and Vh1 Classic. He joined Vh1 and Vh1 Classic from Primedia where he was Senior Vice President, responsible for sales of over 100 vertical trade magazines, companion websites and conferences. Prior to his role at Primedia, Lovinger held the post of Chief Operating Officer at Phase2Media.

Lovinger was previously part of the NBCU family when he joined the company in 1997 as Senior Vice President, Global Advertising Sales for CNBC and NBC International. He oversaw advertising sales for CNBC Europe and Asia, NBC Europe and Asia, and Nat-Geo Asia.
