Luis J. Echarte Joins CHCI Board of Directors.

Azteca America Network announced the acceptance of Chairman Luis J. Echarte’s nomination to the Board of Directors of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) for the 2009-2010 term.

The Executive Board includes about 40 representatives of the top U.S. corporations and non-profit groups in the country, as well as members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Caucus members Rep. Hilda Solis and Sen. Ken Salazar have been nominated to high profile cabinet positions within the team of President Elect Barack Obama as Secretaries of Labor and the Interior, respectively.

“I’m honored to accept the nomination to the Executive Board and look forward to continued close collaboration with the 2009-2010 Chair, Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez, and CHCI President and CEO Esther Aguilera,” said Mr. Echarte, who also presides over the board of Fundacion Azteca America.
