Machado/Garcia-Serra Communications unveils new headquarters.

Machado Garcia-Serra (MGS) Communications celebrated its new Coral Gables headquarters with a full-scale cocktail party packed with surprises on Tuesday, July 25th.

The new offices—completed in March—proved to be a perfect location for any festivity, with an industrial yet elegant style, that welcomed over 200 guests, including celebrities and televison personalities. With over 11,000 sq ft. to utilize, Touch Catering and DJJuan Andres assisted in transforming the office space into a night club for the night, showcasing the uniqueness and versatility of the loft like establishment, and expressing its capability of infusing creativity.

The novel workplace, unconventional to customary South Florida trends, is easily adaptable to many functions with high ceilings throughout, open office settings around the outer limits and cubicles set in an L- formation about the inner layer. The space also houses an auditorium akin to a movie theater, a large conference room serving dual purposes as a focus room- with a two way mirror allowing visibility from an adjacent room dubbed the “peek-a-boo” room- and an additional meeting area urbanized into a chic lounge.

The event was coined “Meet Our Cast” as elite guests were entertained by the characters from the company’s creative works that were brought to life for the particular occasion. Each MGS client was represented in a unique fashion during the evening, highlighting some of the biggest players in the Southeast: Florida Power & Light, Southeast Toyota, BellSouth, Publix Super Markets, Tracfone Wireless, Tiffany & Co., and Compucredit. Guests were encouraged to mingle with original cast members scattered about the venue, as they gazed at visuals projected throughout the office walls of advertising and public relations campaigns and employee photos that exposed the “MGS cast”.

The climax of the evening included a staged power outage corrected by FPL, followed by remarks by CEO Manny Machado and an awards ceremony which honored several important contributors to the MGS success story, including Tiffany & Co. and Southeast Toyota. Attendees were further astounded by an unexpected high energy performance by Sito & Platano, a reggaeton duo featured in the agency’s Scion commercials.
