Madrina’s Multicultural Brands expands distribution.

Madrina’s Multicultural Brands (MMCB) announced a distribution partnership with Prairie Farms Dairy. The partnership will dramatically increase consumer access to the MMCB family of products, including Madrina’s Helado (ice cream), slated to arrive in stores in April of this year.

This unique partnership will significantly raise consumer awareness around Madrina’s products and, more importantly, help drive product trial and purchase. “Partnering with Prairie Farms will enable us to share our unique products with a much larger audience,” said Rich Davis, Founder of MMCB. “Our alliance will help us significantly increase our distribution options so that we can further expand our reach into metro and multicultural markets here in the US.”

Madrina’s currently offers traditional Latino beverages inspired by the familiar flavors of Latin America served in fun and convenient packaging. Madrina’s ready-to-drink and naturally-sweetened Horchata, or cinnamon-infused rice water, is the modern version of a traditional Latino favorite and is the first Horchata available in shelf-stable 16-oz. cans. Madrina’s Cafe, a line of cold-serve coffees in the tradition of Latin American Cafe con Leche, offers more flavor than other iced coffees and lattes and includes the flavors Cafe con Leche, Cafe Vanilla and Cafe Mocha. The Helado line, which perfectly merges tropical and Latino flavors will include Coconut (coconut ice cream), Pina Raz (pineapple ice cream with raspberry swirls) and Mango Mango (mango ice cream with mango swirls), as well as robust coffee flavors such as Cafe con Leche (the perfect blend of coffee and cream), and Espresso con Chocolate (roasted espresso ice cream with chocolate swirls). Madrina’s Helado also pays tribute to Madrina’s Horchata through the introduction of Madrina’s Horchata Swirl, an Horchata flavored ice cream with added cinnamon swirls.

“Our partnership with Madrina’s Multicultural Brands will help us bring a wide variety of traditional yet modern Latino products to our consumers,” Said Ed Mullins, CEO of Prairie Farms. “Our customers will appreciate having access to Madrina’s contemporary yet authentic flavors, all of which are already well-known and loved by today’s Latino consumer.”

Distribution of Madrina’s products, which are currently available at select stores, will include additional large format grocers, drugstore chains, convenience stores, and international markets and independent retailers throughout Prairie Farms footprint covering seventeen (17) states and major metro areas such as Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City, Omaha, Detroit, Indianapolis, Memphis, Little Rock, Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

Davis says, “At Madrina’s our goal is to develop products that merge authentic and beloved flavors with modern, on-the-go lifestyles. We believe that these products will provide a refreshing new option for Prairie Farms and the thousands of retailers they serve.”
