Maggi Gives Latinas The Quinceañera Of Their Dreams.

While today’s Latina is more independent and keeps up with the latest trends, she also wants to celebrate her culture and stay rooted in family traditions. MAGGI, a trusted name in the kitchen for generations, wants to help keep traditions alive by offering young Latinas an opportunity to win $5,000 towards their dream Quinceañera.

Considered to be the most magical moment of a teenage Latina’s life, a Quinceañera is a celebration of a young girl’s 15th birthday and symbolizes the continuing journey into womanhood. In a young girl’s eyes, everything from the gown to the meal needs to be perfect and MAGGI will be there to help.

While women across the Americas have celebrated this joyous tradition with family and friends, the event can be quite costly. “I wasn’t able to have a Quinceañera because my parents could not afford such a luxury,” said Jo Ann De Luna, a St. Mary’s University student. “I would have liked to experience the feeling of being the center of attention for one day and to have wonderful memories to share with my own children.”

Families have brought MAGGI to the dinner table for years and this is an opportunity to play a larger role in passing traditions and values from one generation to the next. “Since the meal is a very important element in the celebration and traditional dishes are often served at the reception, it made sense for MAGGI to sponsor a Quinceañera,” said Nancy Lopez-Pedroza, Maggi marketing manager.
