MaGO PR to lead PR Campaigns for the Presidio Trust Communications

The Presidio of San Francisco, one of America’s most visited national park sites within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, has selected MaGO PR, a full-service 360° bilingual PR/Communications firm, to lead specialized multicultural media relations. The agency will help build awareness for the Presidio’s many amenities, including summer programs and events and activities around the park.

Since its inception, the Presidio Trust has prioritized welcoming underrepresented audiences through integrated marketing, media, and community grass-roots outreach. The 2022 award-winning “Free to Be” campaign for the new 14-acre Presidio Tunnel Tops parkland was hugely successful towards those goals, with recent studies demonstrating that visitor demographics match those of the greater nine-county Bay Area, and the “likely to recommend” score has increased year over year.

Building on this momentum, MaGO PR will address several visitor segments to ensure that the Presidio delivers national park experiences to urban audiences who have been traditionally left out or underrepresented in national parks, as well as promoting the many businesses in the park who through their rents support the park’s operation. In addition to in-language Spanish and Chinese media, MaGO PR will engage several visitor segments such as people with disabilities and LGBTQ visitors. Activity will run year-round but the campaign’s key components will run during the park’s prime seasonality period of mid-April to late October. In an integrated approach, Most Likely To, a San Francisco-based creative services firm, will deliver on a paid media campaign.

“I am excited to join the Presidio Trust team and to be part of furthering their ongoing efforts of diversity and inclusion. The Presidio is not only a major Bay Area landmark but also an important site in our national park system,” said Marco Gonzalez, CEO & Founder, MaGO PR. “MaGO PR is grateful for this opportunity and is looking forward to amplifying Presidio’s genuine message of inclusivity and access for all the diverse communities that comprise the Bay Area.
