Iveliesse Malavé has been named vice presidents at Fleishman-Hillard Los Angeles, according to Richard Kline, Fleishman-Hillard regional president, senior partner, and Los Angeles general manager.

Iveliesse Malavé will lead the efforts of FH Hispania West, working under the leadership of FH Hispania director Rissig Licha. She will report to Hayley Sumner, senior vice president and director of the Los Angeles consumer brand and entertainment communications division. Sara Jones will report to David Krawitz, senior vice president and director of Fleishman-Hillard’s Los Angeles corporate and public affairs practices.

“Our new staff addition are the direct result of our Los Angeles team’s success in securing substantial new client revenue,” Kline said. “During the past several weeks we have been experiencing significant growth, especially in our corporate and consumer brand practices, while we also continue to expand our highly capable public affairs division.”

Immediately prior to joining Fleishman-Hillard, Malavé served as vice president and Hispanic practice director at Euro RSCG Magnet. She was responsible for strategic development and management of national public relations programs for Splenda, Cerveza Tecate, Polaroid, Banco Popular, and other consumer companies, as well as for such large government agencies as the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control. Under her leadership, McNeil Nutritionals’ Lactaid campaign, Si Ti Cae Mal, received more than five industry awards including PRWeek’s 2004 Multicultural Marketing Campaign of the Year.

Previously, Malavé served as an associate director in the New York office of The Bravo Group, where she led this Hispanic agency’s efforts in the U.S. and managed an array of accounts for Fortune 500 clients. Prior to that, Malavé directed Hispanic communications for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, leading both federal and state awareness campaigns.. In 1999, she received the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary’s Award for Excellence and over the past three years has received numerous awards for her multicultural campaigns from, among others, the Public Relations Society of America and PR Week. Malavé holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University.
