Maná does mun2.

mun2 announced that it has wrapped production with the mega Mexican rock band Maná, for the network’s signature original series, Day in Day Out. The half-hour broadcast will give viewers an insider’s look at the lives of the Grammy award-winning band when mun2 cameras follow them in L.A., Miami and Puerto Rico, capturing the frenzy surrounding the release of their new album “Amar es Combatir,” the band’s first album in four years. The special, to be broadcast Sunday, September 17th, 2006 at 7PM is currently being supported by a month-long promotional campaign entitled “Maná goes mun2.”

“It’s great to partner with a band of this caliber—Maná’s influence on the Latin music scene is undeniable and they have a very strong following among mun2 fans.” said Alex Pels, general Manáger, mun2. “We’re committed to supporting acts like Maná by providing them with an outlet to reach their fan base in an intimate way. At the same time, we give our viewers more of what they want—the best in Latino entertainment.”

The on-air campaign rolled out on August 21st with a series of promos, bumpers and tune-in bars, and will culminate with the band’s special appearance on Day in Day Out on September 17th. In addition, mun2 will broadcast several original productions with Maná to air on the channel leading up to the special feature presentation.

“Maná goes mun2” will run through September 17th, 2006 and includes:

· Day in Day Out: mun2 cameras give viewers and fans an insiders peak into the life of Maná as they follow the band throughout Los Angeles, Miami and Puerto Rico as they prepare for the release of their new album, their first in four years. Exclusive behind-the-scenes footage will be shot as the band prepares for autograph signings, press conferences and everything in between, including a hurricane scare in Puerto Rico. “Maná Goes mun2” will culminate with the premiere of Day In Day Out on September 17th, 2006 at 7PM.

· 2RSLVJ: The popular mun2 show where celebrity guests select their favorite music videos will feature Maná in the hot seat where they give viewers insight into their favorite videos and artists, all while sharing up-close and personal anecdotes. 2RSLVJ will air on Sunday, September 3 at 6PM.

· The 411: In this packaged segment featuring an interview with the band, Maná addresses how the music industry has affected their personal and professional lives. The 411 featuring Maná is currently airing on the network ROS.

· Maná Music Videos: Select Maná music videos will be played in heavy rotation and feature the “Maná goes mun2” tune-in bar.
