Maney promoted to Executive VP of Sales at Fox Hispanic Media.

Fox Hispanic Media (FHM) veteran Tom Maney has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Sales. Maney previously served as Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales-a position he held since 1999. The move is representative of his growing role within the burgeoning group and the success of the sales department which grew 16-fold under his watch.

“Tom has been the heart and soul of our Hispanic media group ad sales and marketing solutions from day one,” said Lou LaTorre, President of Ad Sales for Fox Cable Networks and Fox Hispanic Media. “He has a unique blend of great instinct, intelligence, creativity and logic, and his vast network of contacts in the Hispanic market is unparalleled resulting in client partnerships based on decades of trust and respect.”

Maney manages sales for Fox’s three Spanish-language cable channels – Fox Deportes, Utilísima and Nat Geo Mundo – in addition to the newly launched Spanish-language broadcast network, MundoFox. He was instrumental in the creation and maturation of Fox Hispanic Media’s digital brands and the creation of targeted multi-platform campaigns.

“Tom has consistently brought fresh ideas to the table for our clients. He understands what we need to accomplish strategically and comes to us with ammunition,” said Joe Zubizarreta, Chief Operating Officer of Zubi Advertising. “I’m very pleased that FOX is recognizing his efforts.”

During Maney’s tenure, the number of advertisers at Fox Hispanic Media grew from less than ten in 1999 to more than 130 in 2012, and the portfolio grew from one cable sports brand to include a woman’s lifestyle channel, a non-fiction entertainment channel and now a broadcast network. The latter, MundoFox, now reaches nearly 80 percent of Hispanic households in the market in the United States.

“Tom always understood that his priority was to do whatever he could to drive our clients business, to understand their goals, and deploy our assets accordingly. They know when he makes a commitment to them they can take that to the bank, no exceptions,” said LaTorre. “I am confident that he will continue his history of success and bring our ever expanding portfolio to the highest levels of excellence.”

Prior to joining Fox Hispanic Media, Maney’s career included management and sales positions at Telemundo, Ziff Davis’ ZDTV, Turner Broadcasting and Katz Sports.
