Marco Vega – Planning Director & Partner@ Concept Café.
June 11, 2006
Marco Vega has just left Zyman Group to join Concept Café Advertising as its new Planning Director and Partner.
Vega began his professional career at Procter & Gamble Mexico in 1995. In 1997 he joined McKinsey & Company where he advised top management in industries as diverse as Satellite Communications, Consumer Goods, Airline, Financial Services and Private Equity.
In 2003 he was reeled in by Hispanic Agency OLE in NY as Vice President of Account Planning, where he developed sound marketing and communication strategies for brands such as Target, Merrill Lynch, GE Consumer Finance, HSBC, Bacardi and La Costeña Food Products.
Salvador Veloso, Concept Café’s Creative Director & Founder, says “The agency is under intense transformation and tremendous growth; we needed a strong player to close the leadership equation at the top. I have worked with Marco in the past, in specific projects, and we make a formidable team. Furthermore Concept Café is now the first advertising agency in this market that is led by a creative and a planner. That just makes us a very different animal, with very edgy lines of thought and effective communication strategies for our clients. Vega is the best investment Concept Café could have ever done.”
Vega adds, “It is just the right time for me to walk my talk; I am an insurgent for growth. That is what I have done for all my clients in the past and what I will continue to do with Concept Café’s client portfolio. There is no other Hispanic Agency out there with our mix of talents and business model. The market has not seen such an explosive mix of breakthrough creativity and robust strategic thinking.”
He is co-author of the book Angel Investing in Latin America, published in 2005 by the Batten Institute.
