Maria Ruiz joins ‘Los Hijos de La Manana’ on WLCC/Tampa.

Longtime station personality Maria Ruiz has rejoined Regional Mexican radio station WLCC/Tampa. Ms. Ruiz will join long-time host Victor Ramirez on Tampa’s #1 Mexican morning show ‘Los Hijos de La Manana. She replaces sidekick Everardo Lopez who has left the market. Her first day back will be Monday, February 5th.
Maria re-joins WLCC after a six month hiatus to welcome the birth of her third child. She had previously spent over six year at the station in various roles including host of both the Mid-Day and PM Drive slots.
WLCC/Lay has experienced tremendous growth as the Mexican community has grown in the Tampa – St. Petersburg radio market. Mexicans now represent the #1 segment and the fastest growing. WLCC/La Ley’s AM Drive show is ranked #1 in the recent Fall 2006 Arbitron Book with Hispanic Adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
