Marias Gamesa launches campaign featuring US Women’s National Team Newcomer Sofia Huerta

Part of PepsiCo, Marias Gamesa partners with American professional soccer player, Sofia Huerta— formerly playing for the Mexico Women’s National Team and now for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team—to star in a series of short digital spots for its “Love from Everywhere” campaign that feature Marias Gamesa® cookies. The spots, developed by in-house creative shop D3, will run on YouTube, Meta/Instagram, and Twitter with a bicultural feel, true to Sofia’s nature as a Hispanic American born to a Mexican father and American mother.

For Sofia Huerta—the 30-year-old professional soccer player, born in Boise, ID—Marias Gamesa® are a childhood staple best enjoyed with her grandmother making for an authentic partnership that also includes social posts in English and Spanglish placed in conjunction with the digital spots. The integrated campaign for Marias Gamesa® during the Women’s World Cup extends to in-store promos in top Hispanic markets.

From generation to generation, Hispanic families choose Marias Gamesa® to enjoy as their snacks, desserts or to prepare their favorite recipes with a touch of love. Sophia Huerta has a sweet connection to the brand with fond memories of eating them with her grandmother. The campaign, “Love from Everywhere,” reflects how the same cookie Sofia loved as a child is with her no matter where home is. In the spots, Sofia enjoys Marias Gamesa® cookies while remembering the sense of love, pride, and joy they bring by being Mexican American, like her.
