Telemundo presents a new high-quality original production set in the most breathtaking locations of Acapulco and featuring an all-star cast. “Marina,” a passionate story of love and betrayal, stars Mauricio Ochmann and Sandra Echeverría, along with Aylín Mujica, Susana Dosamantes and Humberto Zurita. “Marina” will launch on October 16th at 8:30PM/7:30c, and will switch to its regular 8PM schedule on October 25th.
“Marina” is the story of a simple, yet somewhat wild and fun-loving girl who makes a living driving a tourist boat in beautiful Acapulco. Her world collapses when her mother dies unexpectedly, and Marina (Sandra Echeverría) is forced to move into an elegant mansion owned by the Alarcón Morales’, a wealthy family who is not at all prepared to welcome the humble girl with open arms. At the mansion, Marina will come face to face with evil and despise, but she will also find shelter under the kind protection of powerful multi-millionaire, Don Guillermo Alarcón Ferrer (Humberto Zurita), who happens to be the girl’s uncle.
It is also at this home where Marina will meet Ricardo Alarcón Morales (Mauricio Ochmann), a young man who initially doesn’t like her, but who finds it amusing to constantly provoke her in order to instill her over-the-top reactions. This sweet game eventually turns into love.
Although Marina is protected by Don Guillermo and Ricardo’s affection, she has to deal with other undesirable characters, such as Veronica Saldivar (Aylín Mujica), an evil woman who falls in love with Ricardo and becomes Marina’s worst enemy and rival; and Alberta de Alarcón Morales (Susana Dosamantes), Ricardo’s mother, a high-society woman who is over protective of her son and does not consider Marina worthy of his love. These two women will do everything in their power to prevent Marina and Ricardo from finding happiness together.
Along with Mauricio Ochmann, Sandra Echeverría, Aylín Mujica, Susana Dosamantes and Humberto Zurita, the cast also includes: Carlos Caballero, Marta Aura, Elizabeth Cervantes, Karina Mora, Alfonso Dosal, Ilean Almaguer, Sandra Destenave, Eduardo Victoria, Angelica Celaya, Claudia Lobo, Georgina Tabora, Guadalupe Martinez, Gustavo Navarro, Jorge Luis Vazquez, Lourdes Villareal, Mara Cuevas, Carlos Corona, Pablo Azar, Beatriz Cecilia and Veronica Teran.
