Mario Carrillo joins ESPN Deportes.

Former soccer player-turned-coach Mario Carrillo joins ESPN Deportes as analyst of Fútbol Picante, the network’s daily Mexican soccer news program.

Carrillo will provide an insider’s perspective of Mexican soccer having coached the Puebla F.C., Club America and Cruz Azul teams. Most recently, he joined Javier Aguirre as an assistant coach with the Mexican national team.

“Mario Carrillo adds to the Fútbol Picante debates great expertise as a former soccer player and coach, as well as an insider’s peek into the world of soccer,” said Rodolfo Martinez, Vice President of Production of ESPN International and ESPN Deportes. “His recent work with the national soccer team establishes him as an expert of Mexican soccer.”
