Martin Cerda recognized by ARF as a Finalist for the 2010 Great Mind Awards.

The Advertising Research Foundation (The ARF) presented a 2010 Great Mind Awards Certificate of Recognition to Martin Cerda, acknowledging his company’s research expertise among the U.S. Hispanic population. The recognition was presented at the annual conference in New York City and goes to the individual (or team) who, over the past year, has created and proven the impact of innovative new methods based on inventiveness, analytics, and/or harnessing technology. He was credited for launching the first dedicated U.S. Hispanic online research website in August 1999 and developing a science-based method of conducting online research among Latinos.

Earlier this week, Encuesta, Inc. was also recognized by The ARF with the David Ogilvy Award for its work on behalf of Reynolds Wrap Aluminum Foil and Bromley Communications (Silver Award in the Household Products Category).

“Encuesta, Inc. and I are incredibly honored by these recognitions” said Martin. “It is a privilege to be a part of The ARF that is so widely recognized for their proven commitment to supporting the Hispanic community. The Ogilvy Award is particularly meaningful as the book Ogilvy on Advertising inspired me to enter this field nearly 25 years ago. In his book, Ogilvy described the ’18 Miracles of Research’ and most importantly that research cannot take the place of proper judgment”.
