Martinez – Creative Director @ Latina Magazine.

Latina magazine named Raul Martinez of a|r media its creative director. In this position, he will oversee all aspects of art, design and photography at the monthly magazine.

Martinez is co-founder and creative director at a|r media, where he has been instrumental in editorial art direction, photography and design at a number of national beauty and fashion magazines. Currently, he works extensively with Italian Vogue and has served as creative director for Inside View Magazine and Versace – The Magazine, which debuted in October of 2002. Prior to co-founding a|r, he served as creative director at American Vogue for six years, where he was instrumental in redesigning the publication under Anna Wintour.

Additionally, Martinez has broad experience in the area of advertising. He has overseen new campaigns for beauty giant Estée Lauder and managed the creative behind the successful re-launch of Yves Saint Laurent’s Opium fragrance. He has also worked on advertising campaigns for distinguished fashion companies such as Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent.

Prior to his work at American Vogue, Martinez worked and consulted on design at Harper’s Bazaar, House & Garden and Rolling Stone.
