Más New Mexico launches bilingual news in Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

Más New Mexico will launch on January 7, 2009 as a bilingual news publication.
The weekly Más New Mexico newspaper will provide local, state, national, and international news in both Spanish and English. The publication will distribute 20,000 copies every Wednesday throughout Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
Más New Mexico is being launched by Padilla Media LLC, a New Mexico Minority, Women-owned business. Publisher and Padilla Media LLC President Clara Padilla Andrews currently serves as president of the National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP), Padilla Andrews has been the publisher and owner of El Hispanic News founded in 1981 in Portland, Oregon ˜ since 1996.
El Hispanic News and Más New Mexico will be sister publications, with a shared vision of advocating for and informing via effective advertising opportunities and editorial coverage a Hispanic population that is that is not effectively reached through mainstream media outlets.
“It has long been my dream to see New Mexico’s Hispanic population served by a quality bilingual news source. I look forward to applying what I’ve learned at El Hispanic News in Portland to my home state and community,” said Padilla Andrews.
