Avail-TVN announced an VOD services deal with TuTv LLC, a joint venture of Grupo Televisa and Univision Communications Inc., that provides Spanish-language programming to U.S. cable and satellite customers. The deal covers movies from TuTV’s linear channels, De Película and De Película Clásico, featuring high-quality contemporary and classic films.

This announcement comes at an opportune time, as TuTv’s VOD usage for its affiliates continues to rise. In fact, from June 2008 to December 2008, TuTv noticed a 100% increase in VOD orders and expects that trend to continue through summer 2009. To meet the rising demand, TuTv has recently increased its offering from five to 10 movies per month, which will be available at all times through Avail-TVN to TuTv’s affiliates.
