MASECA’s ‘Sabor de un Gran Amor’

The millions of telenovela devotees who were left craving an encore when superstars Adela Noriega and Mauricio Islas – the popular lovers in Univision’s top-rated Amor Real – were separated as the show ended in March, will have their wish granted. For one special evening, the pair will be together again, and fans are being invited to share in the compelling romance.
Fans of the show, which was the most-watched Spanish-language program, consistently beating even Desperate Housewives, can win the opportunity to be part of a fairy-tale reunion. Noriega and Islas are teaming up with MASECA for “El Sabor de un Gran Amor,” a promotion including a sweepstakes grand prize of a romantic dinner reuniting the stars as well as winners from eight U.S. cities on July 23. The sweepstakes is running in grocery stores now through June 19, with two winners each from Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, Washington D.C. and one winner each from New Jersey and New York.
Fans can enter the sweepstakes at participating MASECA “El Sabor de un Gran Amor” store displays, with winners flown to one of the eight cities to receive a Cinderella-style makeover and then attend the elegant July 23 event. They will experience an evening of fashion, fun and romance alongside the two stars of Amor Real.
As a spokesperson for this promotion, Noriega, who played Matilde in Amor Real, is participating in her first-ever promotional campaign. Noriega and Islas, who played Adolfo on Amor Real, will have the opportunity to interact with fans in the U.S.
“This is an opportunity to reach out and connect personally with our fans who made the show so successful in the U.S.,” said Noriega. “It’s our chance to thank them, and to allow them to share in the spirit of romance that many telenovelas feature.”
For MASECA, “El Sabor de un Gran Amor” is an opportunity to give customers a chance to feel like stars and experience a night of glamour.

In addition to the sweepstakes, the promotion will host in-store redemption activities; where customers can turn in three proofs of purchase of any MASECA product and receive an autographed t-shirt and a tamal. Customers receiving a pink tamal will instantly win another MASECA prize.
