MTV Networks Latin America announced the promotion of Scot McBride to Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for MTV Networks Latin America. Based in Miami, McBride will continue to report into Pierluigi Gazzolo, Managing Director, MTV Networks Latin America.

McBride’s prior role as Chief Operating Officer will be expanded to three new areas: Regional Operations, Program Sales and Digital Media Business Development. He will now oversee the executives in charge of MTVN’s new regional operations, a division which will oversee the networks offices in Latin America and the syndication arm of MTVN’s programming of MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Spike and other MTVN brands offered to broadcasters in the markets. Additionally, he will head up the Digital Media Business team, in moving forward all strategic and commercial aspects of interactive digital media, and continue to ensure the integration and expansion of both online and mobile businesses.

He will remain in charge of his current responsibilities, leading the Strategy and Research team, along with the general and administrative areas of Finance, Production Management, Business and Legal Affairs, Human Resources, Information Systems and Technology, and Digital Media Business Development.
