McDonald’s LoMcXimo de la Música Concert Series.

This summer, music and education will come together for a great cause, the educational goals of Hispanic youth in the U.S. McDonald’s will be presenting LoMcXimo de la Música, a 13-city concert tour with some of the hottest acts in Latin music. The tour will offer a variety of music genres such as Regional Mexican, Pop, Salsa and Reggaeton. Proceeds from the concerts will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities(R)/Hispanic American Commitment to Educational Resources(R) (RMHC/HACER) Scholarship Program.

“LoMcXimo de la Música is the perfect way to give Latino youth the music they want,” said Rick Marroquin, Director of Marketing, McDonald’s USA “This concert series also allows McDonald’s to continue our commitment to education by helping Hispanic youth fulfill their dream to attend college.”

The concert line-up features some of today’s best-known names in Latin music, including Aleks Syntek, Moenia, Horóscopos de Durango, Montez de Durango, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Victor Manuelle, Aventura, Don Omar and Vico C, with appearances at intimate venues across the country. The tour will present different artists in cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Orlando, Houston and New York.

McDonald’s will contribute $3 from each ticket sold from the LoMcXimo de la Música tour to the RMHC/HACER Scholarship Program, the largest high school-to-college Hispanic scholarship program in the nation. RMHC/HACER grants scholarships to high school seniors looking to continue their education and attend college.

McDonald’s customers will also have a chance to win a trip for two to a LoMcXimo de la Música concert of their choice, concert tickets, limousine service and hotel accommodations through a national McDonald’s sweepstakes that will kick-off on July 4, 2005.
