McDonald’s LOMcXIMO de la Música Concert Series Raises $30K For Hispanic Scholarships.

McDonald’s announced that its LoMcXimo de la Música 13-city national concert tour raised more than $30,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities/Hispanic American Commitment to Educational Resources (RMHC(R)/HACER(R)) Scholarship Program, part of the RMHC National Scholarship Program.

McDonald’s contributed $3 from each ticket sale from LoMcXimo de la Música to the RMHC/HACER Scholarship Program, the largest high school-to-college Hispanic scholarship program in the nation. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, RMHC/HACER is a part of the RMHC National Scholarship Program and has awarded more than $14 million in scholarships to more than 12,000 Hispanic high school seniors in the U.S. since its inception in 1985.

“McDonald’s brought together two passions of the Hispanic community, music and education, in a unique showcase,” said Rick Marroquin, director of marketing, McDonald’s USA.

“This unprecedented fundraiser on behalf of RMHC/HACER continues our commitment to ensuring that many Hispanic high school seniors have the opportunity to further their education,” added Marroquin.

From Regional Mexican and Salsa to Rock en Español and Reggaeton, McDonald’s presented LoMcXimo de la Música to sold out crowds at a number of venues across the country and featured some of today’s best known names in Latin music, including Aleks Syntek, Moenia, Horoscopos de Durango, Montez de Durango, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Don Omar and Vico C.
