McDonald’s Takes To The Skies With Southwest.

McDonald’s is celebrating the national launch of the McDonald’s Arch Card, a reloadable convenience card that doubles as the perfect holiday gift or personal spending card, by giving $22 million to consumers nationwide. The giveaway will take flight November 29, as McDonald’s takes to the skies giving away 5 million $1 Arch Cards to Southwest Airlines customers at 61 airports nationwide from November 29 through December 13, and onboard flights from December 14 through December 28. The perfect layover companion, the McDonald’s Arch Card and Southwest Airlines are making holiday travel a whole lot tastier this holiday season.

The season of giving continues in McDonald’s restaurants nationwide. Beginning November 29 through December 5, McDonald’s guests will receive a free $1 McDonald’s Arch Card with the purchase of a 3 or 5 piece Chicken Selects(R) strips or any Premium Chicken Sandwich, at participating McDonald’s restaurants, while supplies last. McDonald’s will distribute $9 million at participating restaurants nationwide. In addition, 8 million $1 McDonald’s Arch Cards will be given away through an American Express consumer card mailing, bringing the total McDonald’s Arch Card giveaway to $22 million!

“McDonald’s recognizes our customers are seeking cashless payment options, and the national launch of Arch Card will make purchasing your favorite menu item and gift giving a whole lot easier this holiday season,” said Gayle Franger, director, U.S. marketing. “By giving away $22 million, we are excited to provide our customers with the chance to see just how convenient it is to enjoy cashless service at McDonald’s.”

The $1 promotional Arch Cards can be used towards the purchase of any McDonald’s menu item and are a perfect compliment to McDonald’s Dollar Menu. Or, for those guests who wish to share the gift of McDonald’s, the $1 Arch Cards can also be used towards the purchase of a reloadable McDonald’s Arch Card, available in $5, $10, $25 and $50 denominations – the perfect holiday gift for almost anyone on your shopping list. The Arch Card debuts nationwide this November at participating restaurants.
