Who Is the Smartphone-Dependent Consumer?
Millennials were more likely than the general consumer to go without landlines, with 64% reporting being mobile phone-only. Still, penetration among older generations was significant: 45% of Gen Xers and 32% of baby boomers. Hispanics were also heavily mobile phone-only, at 60%.
Teens, Social Media & Technology Overview 2015 [REPORT]
Aided by the convenience and constant access provided by mobile devices, especially smartphones, 92% of teens report going online daily — including 24% who say they go online “almost constantly,” according to a new study from Pew Research Center. More than half (56%) of teens — defined in this report as those ages 13 to 17 — go online several times a day, and 12% report once-a-day use. Just 6% of teens report going online weekly, and 2% go online less often.

Have TV Everywhere Users Returned to the Couch?
Multichannel pay TV subscriptions have plenty of benefits over relying solely on an over-the-top (OTT) device, and according to Adobe Digital Index research released in March 2015, TV Everywhere adoption continued to rise last year. TV Everywhere penetration among pay TV subscribers in the US in Q4 2014 was nearly double that in the same quarter the year prior, at 12.5%, vs. 6.5% in Q4 2013. Adobe estimated this would reach 18% by the end of 2015.
