The internet’s popularity as a news source is indisputable, and the number of people who go online to find their news on a daily basis is still growing.
According to Radio Ink, in a brief announcement, the Nielsen Co. says it is leaving the U.S. radio ratings business.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) announced the launch of the Mobile Marketing Center of Excellence, an independently funded and staffed unit inside the IAB, charged with driving the growth of the mobile marketing, advertising and media marketplace. The IAB also announced the appointment of Anna Bager as Vice President and General Manager of the Mobile Center, a new position in the organization.

As consumer usage of social media continues to increase in the US and around the world, marketers have transitioned from cautious engagement to full deployment.
Next year, four in five US businesses with at least 100 employees will take part in social media marketing, eMarketer estimates. That’s up from just 42% as recently as 2008, and the number of marketers using the channel will continue to rise through 2012.
