Telemundo launched “Juntos por Haiti” (Together for Haiti), a multi-platform humanitarian campaign developed to help the victims of the catastrophic earthquake that shook the country this past January 12.

Univision Partners with American Red Cross to aid Haiti.

Univision Communications Inc. announced that it has partnered with the American Red Cross to help support the fundraising efforts to help those impacted by the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Univision will utilize its national and local television and radio assets, as well as its online and mobile platforms to reach Hispanics interested in contributing to the relief efforts.

Minorities agree on Importance of Web.

According to new findings from a national survey of minority adults, conducted by Brilliant Corners Research and Pollster Cornell Belcher, only 42% of African Americans and Hispanics regularly use the Internet, yet they overwhelmingly agree that Internet access is critical to achieving success.

Top Rank Live at Fox Sports en Español.

Fox Sports en Español and Top Rank announced the launch of a new boxing series – “Top Rank Live.” The heavy-hitting two-hour broadcast will air live on Fox Sports en Español on Saturdays, three times per month, beginning at 10 p.m. EST. Adding to the excitement and authenticity of this new series, at least one show per month will originate directly from Mexico.

Reid named Executive VP of National Sales of Liberman Broadcasting.

Liberman Broadcasting, Inc. (LBI Media) announced the appointment of Mike Reid as Executive Vice President of National Sales, effectively immediately. Based in Dallas, Mr. Reid will work closely with advertisers and agencies to provide compelling network and national sales opportunities for Estrella TV.
