Viacom Outdoor Renews NYC Subway Contract.

Viacom Outdoor announced it has renewed its contract with the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority to handle all display advertising on rail cars, in stations and on station platforms in New York City Subways and Staten Island Railway.

Clear Channel Radio Announces Rating-System RFP Finalists.

Clear Channel Radio announced seven finalists for its Request for Proposals to create a state-of-the-art radio ratings system. The company also announced the initial members of an evaluation team, comprising a cross-section of members of the radio industry and advertising community, including media buyers and advertisers.

Telemundo Revitalizes Daytime Lineup.

Telemundo announced the premiere of two new programs sure to revitalize the network’s daily lineup: “Señora León” (Lady León) (1PM/12c), marking the arrival of acclaimed artist Laura León to the Telemundo family, and “12 Corazones” (12 Hearts) (12PM/11c), a program previously broadcasted by local Los Angeles Telemundo station KWHY, which will now air nationally. “Señora León” and “12 Corazones” will make their grand debut on Telemundo on Monday, January 9, 2006.

Univision Announces ‘Premio Lo Nuestro’ 2006 Nominees.

The 18th Annual “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina” (Lo Nuestro Latin Music Awards) nominees were announced during a press conference televised live on the Univision Network morning show “Despierta América.” As in years past, the hottest names in Latin music make up the list of nominees for the longest running and most popular Latin music award program in the U.S. “Premio lo Nuestro” will be broadcast by the Univision Network on Thursday, February 23 from 8-11 pm ET/PT (7-10 pm Central/Mountain) live from Miami’s American Airlines Arena.

Ricky Martin Launches ‘One Night Only’ Tour.
