Worldwide Telecom Industry Growth Expected In 2005.
The global telecommunications industry showed modest growth in 2004, and the growth of its revenue is expected to continue into 2005, says a new market analysis report from Insight Research. According to the study, worldwide telecommunications services revenue is expected to grow at a compounded annual rate of 5.9 percent from 2005 to 2010, which reflects the level of sustainable growth enjoyed by the telecom segment prior to the technology bubble of the late 1990s.

Univision revealed the winners of the 17th edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina” Latin music awards. Marc Anthony (four awards), Paulina Rubio (three awards including a special recognition) and Sin Bandera (three awards), topped the list of Latin music recording artists who received the prestigious statuette. Other winners included Alicia Villareal (two awards in the Mexican Regional genre), Chayanne, Celia Cruz (posthumously), Juanes, Banda El Recodo, Carlos Vives, and Marco Antonio Solís.
