Clear Channel Radio has announced plans to launch a multi-market initiative converting several of their non-performing English stations into Hispanic targeted formats.
NY Daily News Launches Hora Hispana Newspaper.
The New York Daily News will launch a new, weekly Spanish-language newspaper that will be distributed free to 200,000 Hispanic households in Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. Hora Hispana will be delivered door-to-door each Thursday and Friday and will feature news and information directed specifically to New York City’s Latino communities.
Tribune Probe Reveals New Newspaper Circulation Discrepancies
The Tribune Co. announced on Friday that its initial assessments of circulation discrepancies at both Newsday and Hoy were incomplete. Further investigations of each paper’s circulation have uncovered new sources of discrepancy, meaning that these papers’ circulations during the period in question are actually lower than originally reported.
Hispanic TV Networks Faulted With High Levels of Sexual Content.
The Parents Television Council released the results of its latest study which focused on Spanish-language television networks. The findings revealed that popular Spanish-language television shows airing on both Telemundo and Univision from 8-11 p.m. contain high levels of sexual content.
