Minority Commercial Radio Ownership in 2009: FCC Licensing and Consolidation Policies.

Minority radio ownership has remained virtually unchanged since 2007 even as the number of FCC-licensed stations has increased, according to a study released by the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council (MMTC). Download report here.

Spanish Language Radio’s Unique History

Arbitron worked closely with the ANA to introduce a new category in 2009 highlighting exceptional work in radio advertising.

Arbitron plans to increase Sample Size across all PPM Markets.

Arbitron Inc. (ARB) announced its implementation strategy to increase sample sizes in its Portable People Meter (PPM) markets. The Company now plans to increase sample targets by ten percent in the important advertising demographic of Persons aged 18-54 by mid-year 2011.

Woodie named President of Lotus Entravision Reps.

Phil Woodie has been named President of Lotus Entravision Reps (LER) and will be based out of the LER office in New York. Mary Hawley who was the President of the company, assumes the important role of Western Regional Sales Manager based in the LER Los Angeles office to maximize the opportunities in the region and the Los Angeles office to the company.
