Entravision Communications Corporation announced that Mario M. Carrera has been promoted to the newly-created position of Senior Vice President of Spanish-Language Television, overseeing and managing all of Entravision’s Spanish-language television properties. Carrera previously led Entravision’s radio, television and interactive assets in Colorado as the Vice President and General Manager for 8 years.

Scripps completes acquisition McGraw-Hill / Azteca America TV stations.
The E.W. Scripps Company completed its acquisition of nine television stations from McGraw-Hill Broadcasting. The company announced its intention to acquire the stations on October 3, 2011.
Barcheski named VP of Research at nuvoTV.
nuvoTV announced hat media industry research veteran Karen Barcheski has joined the company as vice president, research, a newly created position. She reports to Michael Schwimmer, chief executive officer.
Abud named President of Telemundo Station Group.
Telemundo Media announced that Manuel Abud has been named President of the Telemundo Station Group. Effective January 1st, Abud will report to Emilio Romano, President, Telemundo Media, replacing Ronald Gordon, who has been named Chairman at ZGS Communications, which owns and operates the largest group of independent stations affiliated with the Telemundo network.
