Estrella TV enters Miami Market.

Liberman Broadcasting, Inc. (LBI Media) announced that it has entered into an affiliate agreement with Sunbeam Television for WSVN 7, a Fox-affiliated television station licensed to serve the Miami-Fort Lauderdale market, the third largest Hispanic market in the United States, to broadcast on the station’s digital multicast channel, 7.2.

Gordon named President of Telemundo Station Group.

Ronald Gordon has been named President of Telemundo Television Station Group, it was announced by Don Browne, President, Telemundo Communications Group. Gordon was most recently President and CEO of ZGS Communications, a Hispanic-owned Spanish-language broadcasting company with interests in television and radio stations.

DISH Network reaches agreement to deliver Univision, Telefutura & Galavision.

DISH Network Corporation announced a multi-year agreement with Univision Communications Inc.. The agreement includes carriage of Univision’s owned and operated broadcast stations, and distribution of Univision, TeleFutura and Galavisión network feeds.

Telemundo becomes 1st Spanish-language Network to broadcast nationally in HD.

Telemundo announced that the network will have the capability to broadcast in high definition (HD) across the nation beginning April 2009.

Televisa & Telemundo launch Telemundo Cable Network.

Televisa Networks and Telemundo announced they have signed a joint venture agreement to launch the Telemundo channel, which will be distributed throughout Mexico and Latin America.
