Ronald Gordon has been named President of Telemundo Television Station Group, it was announced by Don Browne, President, Telemundo Communications Group. Gordon was most recently President and CEO of ZGS Communications, a Hispanic-owned Spanish-language broadcasting company with interests in television and radio stations.

DISH Network reaches agreement to deliver Univision, Telefutura & Galavision.
DISH Network Corporation announced a multi-year agreement with Univision Communications Inc.. The agreement includes carriage of Univision’s owned and operated broadcast stations, and distribution of Univision, TeleFutura and Galavisión network feeds.
Telemundo becomes 1st Spanish-language Network to broadcast nationally in HD.
Telemundo announced that the network will have the capability to broadcast in high definition (HD) across the nation beginning April 2009.

Univision Communications Inc. announced its plans to redefine its Upfront approach and go directly to its customers, to reach as many marketers as possible, with a message of growth and partnership. Univision will host regional Partnership Forums focused on helping companies capitalize on the power of the Hispanic consumer as a real growth lever for businesses today. The forums will take place in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and Dallas throughout the month of April.

National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) President and CEO David Rehr sent the following letter to Nielsen Media Research urging the company to change its misleading methodology for measuring consumer readiness for the upcoming transition to digital television.
