LAT TV expands from 5 Stations in Texas & Arizona to 22 other cities.

LatinAmerica Broadcasting Inc. a general entertainment Spanish language broadcaster located in Houston, Texas, announced it has entered into an affiliate agreement with Equity Media Holdings, Corporation, headquartered in Little Rock, to launch its content in 22 additional markets increasing its geographic coverage across the U.S.

Time Warner Cable and The Walt Disney Company announced that they have entered into comprehensive multi-year distribution agreements that will extend retransmission consent for the ABC-owned broadcast television stations carried in Time Warner Cable systems, and provide for carriage of a broad array of Disney’s leading networks and services.

Azteca America to offer stations options in Houston & San Francisco.

Azteca America is currently analyzing new station options in the markets of Houston and San Francisco, and expects to finalize affiliation agreements with new partners promptly.

Telemundo to broadcast Miss Universe 2007 from Mexico City.

Donald J. Trump, NBC and Paula M. Shugart, President, Miss Universe Organization, announced that the 56th Annual Miss Universe Competition will air live from Mexico City, Mexico. The glamorous live event, featuring some of the
world’s most beautiful women, will air from the National Auditorium (Auditorio Nacional), on NBC and Telemundo on Monday, May 28, 2007 from 9-11 p.m. ET.

Pappas Telecasting terminates Azteca America affiliation.

Pappas Telecasting Companies announced that it has terminated its affiliation agreements with the Azteca America Network in all markets. The stations and Designated Market Areas (DMAs) affected are KAZH-TV (Houston), KTNC-TV (San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose and Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto), KAZR-CA (Reno), KAZO-LP (Omaha), and KAZJ-LP/KAZS-LP (Sioux City, Iowa). As of June 30, 2007, Azteca America programming will cease on these stations.

Univision Communications Inc. announced the completion of its acquisition by Broadcasting Media Partners Inc. (“BMP”), an investor group including Madison Dearborn Partners, Providence Equity Partners, TPG, Thomas H. Lee Partners, and Saban Capital Group, for $36.25 per share in cash. The transaction was originally announced on June 27, 2006.
