SBS’s MegaTV Launch Postponed.

Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) has postponed the launch of their Mega TV programming programming on their Miami TV station till March of 2006.

Speuclation is that SBS is currently under heavy criticism for their decision to purchase the TV station by Wall Street and investors.

The SBS stock has eroded close to 55% since its annoucement of their intent to purchase the Miami TV station.

Galavisión Launches Live Interactive Music Show ‘ACCESO MÁXIMO’.

Galavisión will debut it’s first live, interactive music and entertainment program called “Acceso Máximo” on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 9pm ET/PT.

Univision Communications Inc. announced that Michael D. Wortsman has been named President of the Univision Television Group. Univision also announced the appointment of Charles Stuart to Executive Vice President and Director of Sales, Univision Television Group.

Interep Launches Azteca America Television Sales Rep Firm.

Interep announced that it will enter the television representation business with the formation of its first television rep firm — Azteca America Television Sales. Bob Turner will serve as president of the new dedicated firm, representing Azteca America affiliate television stations.

Univision’s Grammy Broadcast Most Watched Among Young Adults.

Airing for the first time entirely in Spanish, the Univision Network’s telecast of the 6th Annual Latin GRAMMYÒ Awards last Thursday night was the most-watched broadcast in the history of the event among Adults 18-34, also making Univision the country’s #3 network, regardless of language. Airing on the first night of television’s all-important November Sweeps, Univision’s telecast of the awards show attracted 1.8 million more viewers than last year’s English-language broadcast.
